Exclusive Premiere: Singer-Songwriter Liddy Clark Reminisces on the Worst Month of the Year in Brand New Song “september is the worst”

By  |

Indie country/pop artist Liddy Clark may have graduated, but her memories of summer days and glimmers of young love are still lingering on her brand new song “september is the worst.” The final track on her brand new Made Me (Unplugged) Album dropping tomorrow, “september is the worst” captures Liddy’s effortless bedroom-pop, acoustic sound that lets her lyrics shine.

“I wrote this song with Lily Williams a few years ago just as I was wrapping up my debut album Made Me, Liddy shared with us. “It honestly feels like a part 2 to the final track on the original album — “Til The Sun Breaks The Dawn.” This track is about summer romance and being young and heartbreakingly beautiful moments. Most of all, this track is about letting go and embracing the pain that comes with falling in love quickly.”

Showcased on “Til The Sun Breaks The Dawn” and again on the new tune, Liddy proves sometimes the best things come from heartbreak. Finding inspiration in real life, Liddy offers up an unfiltered look at relationships, love and growing up throughout her debut Made Me album.  Now, with the Unplugged treatment, the 15-track project takes on a new life and puts the stories at the forefront.
